Viking® Flow Manager

Viking® Flow Manager^TM overcomes the accuracy limitation of Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) flow control systems to help improve product quality. The Flow Manager is based on a patented algorithm that knows the exact volume of liquid passing through the pump. The microcontroller constantly monitors the process conditions and immediately makes corrections to maintain the exact flow needed. It is fast and accurate - operating at 12 mHZ clockspeed and five control cycles per second.
The Flow Manager's adaptive, variable gain control learns "on the fly" and adjusts its control responses to produce tighter set point bands.  The process parameters are defined at the pump for precise flow rates without the overshoot and undershoot of PID systems.
The Flow Manager eliminates flow meters, isolation valves, flow control valves, and extra piping. This reduces flow impediments and lowers pump discharge pressures up to 100 PSI for high-viscosity liquids. Lower operating pressures can reduce operating and maintenance costs, while extending equipment service life. In addition , capital equipment costs can be reduced as much as 30%.
